NACDA Foundation

The backbone of NACDA, the Foundation is the Association's educational arm which sponsors clinics, workshops and seminars and manages the postgraduate scholarship programs. Since 1983, the Foundation has distributed more than $11 million in postgraduate scholarships.

The NACDA Foundation has directly administered five scholarship programs - Directors' Cup, John McLendon Memorial Minority, Preseason Games Scholar-Athlete Awards, Preseason Games Football and Division I-A/Delta. Through these five programs, the NACDA Foundation has awarded more than 1,100 scholarships worth more than $2.7 million.

Additionally, from 1983 through 2002, the NACDA Foundation, from proceeds of the Kickoff and Pigskin Classics, provided the National Football Foundation with more than $8.3 million in postgraduate scholarships.

The Foundation also supports the NACDA Internship Program, which provides opportunities for students who are young, aspiring collegiate athletics administrators. The purpose of the program is to increase a student's knowledge of the administrative duties within collegiate athletics by providing practical experience.
