Five Minority Opportunities Athletic Association (MOAA) members have been afforded the opportunity to attend the 2008 NACDA Convention after being awarded the National Association of Athletic Development Directors (NAADD)/MOAA Convention Scholarship.

For the second straight year, NAADD has agreed to provide five $1,000 scholarships to MOAA members to attend both Conventions. The goal of the NAADD Diversity Initiative Program is to identify top-flight minority and female administrators who desire to excel in intercollegiate athletics development and fund raising.

As we enter into another hiring season for college football head coaches, the Minority Opportunities Athletic Association (MOAA) stands with the Black Coaches & Administrators (BCA) requesting that university trustees, presidents, directors of athletics and supporters insure that the application, interview and selection process be fair and transparent.

On November 15th and 16th, top professional athletes, scholars and athletic directors from the nation's top colleges and universities will gather at the 2nd Annual Florida Classic Symposium. The aim is to begin a national dialogue on the impact of society on the black athlete. This symposium is a series of discussions regarding the recruitment, retention and return of the Black athlete to the Black community.
